Implantology is possible where bone growth is already complete, i.e. from the age of around 20. However, sufficient jaw bone of good quality must be available and the general health conditions must be met.
If this is the case, there is no upper age limit!
There are restrictions in the case of diabetes or osteoporosis, for example. In such cases, an internal medical examination is carried out in advance. The indication for implants must also be selected with particular care in the case of heavy smokers.

Although it is considered to be particularly biocompatible, according to the latest research, titanium is not the material of choice for everyone. In some cases, there may be a so-called titanium intolerance. The titanium stimulation test provides us with information on this.
