Our digital volume tomography (DVT) is a new procedure for 3-dimensional imaging of bony structures. Particularly important in our practice: our DVT requires significantly less radiation exposure than a computer tomography (CT).
It goes without saying that the previous two-dimensional digital models are also produced with a significantly lower radiation dose.<\/p>

The indication for a CBCT is made very conservatively in our practice due to the higher radiation exposure compared to 2-dimensional images. Previous two-dimensional images must show an expected added value (clearer findings) of a CBCT.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Digital volume tomography provides us - and therefore you - with a new 3-dimensional technology that significantly improves the diagnosis of jaws and teeth. In addition to the usual indications for 3D diagnostics, such as tumors, cysts and fractures, surgical interventions can be planned more easily and safely. CBCT can assess treatment risks more precisely, make more accurate prognoses and identify or rule out the causes of unclear complaints more reliably.<\/p>

In implantology in particular, we are increasingly using digital volume tomography to assess the available bone in the jaw and determine the implant position before the procedure. The high-quality three-dimensional images make minimally invasive techniques possible and ensure the success of the treatment.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
